The word crucifix means “fixed on cross” which is graphically represented by a figure of Jesus crucified on four posts wooden cross and an inscription INRI in the Latin language. The inscription was written by Pontius Pilate during the events of the death of Jesus and in English, it means “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”. A crucifix is the prime symbol of many groups of Christian as it played an important role in the events of death and the Way of Cross prayers. The Nazareth store understands the close connection between these and offers a delicately crafted product related to crucifix crosses.

Even Eastern Orthodox Church, Eastern Catholic Churches, Lutheran, Moravian, and Anglican Churches too consider crucifix equally important. The origin as such is from the stations of cross-connected to the history mentioned in the Bible. The moment from when Jesus is condemned to death, he carries the wooden cross on his shoulder while passing through the street, Simon of Cyrene carries the cross for Jesus in need, and later on, Jesus is nailed to the cross in between two thieves dying of his wounds. This day is observed as Good Friday.
